I absolutely love cookbooks. Every few weeks I go to the library and check out a stack of them. I like to flip through them when I need a break and don't want to get into any heavy reading or intense television. Once in a while, I come across a cookbook that I don't want to put down and whose recipes I can't wait to try.
Ottolenghi's "Flavor" is one of those for me. Full of gorgeous, flavor-intense recipes that use (and explain) many ingredients that are unfamiliar to most Americans. The first week I had the book I made a trip to Jungle Jim's to find about ten different ingredients from other countries that I had never used before. And by the way, every recipe I've made from this book has been terrific.
